Day 1; Arrive, meet and greet at Entebbe international airport
Depending on arrival time, our representative will welcome you and facilitate seamless arrival formalities .you will then be transferred to kampala capital of Uganda and visit historical sites such as Gadaffi national mosque,Uganda museum and kisubi tombs where you will have an insight on how Buganda one indigious tribes always burry their kings culturally ,you will meet the site guide who will take you through their history and present way of life .
You will later be transferred to any nearby forex bureau in town where you money will be changed on this day and time allowing you may go for another tour with the help of our drive guide ,visit the shopping malls around town and craft village to get items which you may need while in upcountry. Transfer back to Entebbe city where you will reside for an overnight after your dinner and a selected restaurant same hotel of residence.
Day 2; transfer to Entebbe airport for a flight
Afternoon relaxation or optional visit of batwa trail.
Early morning after breakfast transfer to Entebbe airport to catch a domestic flight to the kihihi airstip.The flight takes approximately one hour. You will meet with our representative at the airstrip who will transfer you to the lodge. Bwindi impenetrable forest national park lies in the southwestern Uganda on the edges of the rift valley. It’s mist covered hillsides are blanketed by one of Uganda’s eldest and most biologically diverse rain forests ,dating back over 25000 years and contain almost 400 species of plants. More famously, this ‘’impenetrable forest’’ is home of half remaining mountain gorillas in the world .you may relax at the lodge or have an optional batwa pygmies cultural at extra fee of 80$,this activity takes a maximum of 4hours.Accomodation ;Engagi lodge meal plan lunch breakfast and dinner.
Day 3: gorilla tracking experience
After an early breakfast depart to the starting point for briefing about your gorilla tracking adventure ,after which you will be led by experienced gorillas you trackers on the slopes of bwindi. You will start from the site where the gorilla were encountered the day before and from here ,the gorilla tracking begins .Although the hike can be physically demanding ,the anticipation of the exciting experience ahead is amazing, and the beauty of the gorilla forest and its inhabitants are fascinating.one of the Africa’s major high lights is when you encounter these amazing apes. it is a humbling experience to stand just meters from man’s distant cousins as they eat rest play and bomb with their young ones .follow the mountain gorilla as they range freely in the impenetrable forest and discover their gorgeous natural habitual and the many species they share it you allow an hour the gorilla before finally sloping down to your lodge.
Do not forget to carry rain gear, packed lunch, plenty of water, gloves, hat and water proof bag for protection of your camera in case of rain. Accommodation, breakfast and dinner at Bakiga lodge.
Day 4; morning return flight to Entebbe -Transfer to Murchison fall national
After an ultimate gorilla experience, encounting with the community and beautiful scenes you will immediately transfer to the airstrip in the morning or early afternoon to catch a domestic back to entebbe airport where you will proceed with your journey to murchson falls national park by road with a stopover for lunch in selected restaurant or another stopover at ziwa rhino sanctuary for optional rhino tracking at an extra fee of $50 per person .Accomodation at pakuba safari lodge.
Day 5: Morning game drive and boat cruise on river Nile
Morning game drive and afternoon boat safari to the bottom of the fall, optional to the top of fall at an extra fee of $15 per person. Arising very early in the morning for your game drive on the northen bank of the river Nile in your open –roof vehicle which will give an excellent opportunity to view and photograph the diverse wildlife. Your guide will help you spot elephants, lions cape buffalo rothchild’s giraffe hartebeest, waterbuck, oribi, bushbuck, buck hyena and if you are lucky the leopard.
After lunch, go for a boat cruise upstream the call victoria nile to the base of the falls stopping just few of meters from the ‘’Devil’s cauldon’’marvel at the school of hippos crocodile and over the 17 km stretch you may see elephants waterbuck and Uganda kob. This is also the zones of many bird species like goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater kingfisher, hornbill, cormorant and the rare shoebill stork.
After taking short of the photogenic Murchison falls, you continue to the top of falls at the extra fee of $15 per person where you will have the amazing view of the falls. See where the Nile world longest river explodes violently through narrow cleft in the rift valley. Accommodation breakfast and lunch at pakuba safari lodge.
Day 6; Hot air balloon and game drive.
Have breakfast you will have a fascinating hot air balloon safari which will give you spectacular views of the landscapes and big game, later on in the afternoon embark on a another game drive to look for what you might have missed in the previous days.
Day 7: Chimpanzee tracking in budongo forest.
Have breakfast and then head for chimps trekking in the budongo forest. On arrival you be briefed about the dos and donts whilst with the chimps. This activity might an hour or a full day depending on their movements which is determined by on what type of food they want to feed on. Dinner and overnight at Amuka safari lodge.
Day 8: Rhino tracking, birding and Transfer to Entebbe international airport
After an early breakfast, check out of your safari, you will have a trek looking for rhinos on foot while birding this savannah area looking out for Bronze-tailed, Ruppell’s and Purple-headed Starling, Bruce’s and African Green Pigeons, Northern Crombec, African Golden Oriole and more. Later you will have your hot lunch at Ziwa and proceed with your journey to Kampala-Entebbe international airport.
